A family appeared on a beaching North Devon UK and the silent atmosphere said there had been an enormous rupture of some sort. I covertly sketched them and as I later began this picture I began to imagine the rocks being turned into tombstones (there are some cut off in the image shown here).The memory for the so silent (and faceless - would an expression trigger further trouble?) children would feel like a death.
